Single Purpose

The single purpose of this extension is internal college placement tracking. It aggregates and displays placement and internship notice data directly from the specific college placement notice board.

Data We Access and Store

To provide its core functionality, the extension requires host permission access strictly to IIT Kharagpur ERP pages. While you are logged in, it reads notice-board responses from the ERP and extracts “Website content”. Specifically, it captures:

This information is stored entirely locally on your device using chrome.storage.local so that it remains available in the extension popup.

Data We Do Not Collect

The extension strictly limits its scope to the placement and internship notice board. It does not:

• ✕Access unrelated websites or track your general web history.
• ✕Collect, store, or transmit usernames, passwords, authentication information, or ERP credentials.
• ✕Submit forms on your behalf.
• ✕Collect health, financial, location, user activity (keystrokes/mouse clicks), or personal communication data.

Local Processing & No Remote Code

All data extraction and parsing occur locally within your browser. The extension does not use remote code. Your data is never transmitted to external servers, cloud environments, or third-party databases.

Data Retention and User Control

Because data is stored using chrome.storage.local, you retain full control over your information. The stored notice data is retained only as long as the extension is installed.

However, it is fundamentally a productivity tool and not an absolute source of truth.

Privacy and Data Security

Your use of the extension is governed by our Privacy Policy, which guarantees that all data processing remains entirely local to your device. You are solely responsible for the physical and digital security of the device on which the extension is installed.

Limitation of Liability

The extension is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Under no circumstances shall the developers of KgpFillTheForm be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the extension.

This includes consequences arising from missed deadlines, user failure to verify notice details, or external changes to the IIT Kharagpur ERP architecture that temporarily disrupt the extension's functionality.
